About the client
BILT by Agassi & Reyes is a start-up fitness company based in Las Vegas, Nevada, and founded by the tennis star Andre Agassi and his coach Gil Reyes. Based on the unique nature of the equipment design and Andre Agassi's success having trained on the machines throughout is playing career, Agassi & Reyes were confident in launching the business in an already mature market for commercialized strength equipment.
Objectives
The organization invested in the vision to commercialize a range of strength training machines based on the proprietary equipment developed by Gil Reyes and used by Andre Agassi throughout his successful playing career. The goal was to successfully launch BILT By Agassi & Reyes as a start-up company, manufacture and distribute their fitness products in a mature market against key competitors such as Life Fitness and Technogym, and on a worldwide basis.
Results
A detailed business plan was created by Zii3 Strategy to roadmap the commercialization and launch of the products on a worldwide basis.ZiiStrategy was contracted over a two and a half year periodand conducted market research with distributors, fitness trainers and end users to validate the Agassi team assumptions for the unique products prior to launch. We managed industrial design, engineering and sourcing of the BILT fitness productdeveloped branding, sales and marketing plans and initial corporate budgets.
As a result of the success achieved by the launch of the company, BILT By Agassi & Reyes was awarded the prestigious 2013 FIBO Innovation of the Year award during its trade show in Cologne, Germany in April 2013.
